    Ha ha nightmare!

I keep asking my family what they want and getting the stock reply of ''oh nothing, don't worry''. Guess I'll spend the money on myself and they can watch me open them when they come round for dinner ha ha

    xx

I love it, that would be the Miss Hoodie way of thinking!
and reminds me of my mother, she wants nothing, ... but we know what would happen if she got nothing!

Digressing completely, but as anyone else noticed the mini perfumes in boots, this year they haven't done them on the 3 4 2, xx

    Ha ha typical.

My Mum wants new makeup, but has tried to put me on a £20 budget! How I'm supposed to kit her out with everything on that kind of a budget I don't know, plus I've already got her the Buble Christmas album as she loves him. I'd usually spend up to about £50 each on her and my Dad, so I think I'm just going to stick to that and fib! I've cut right back on who I buy for this year, so I'll still be saving money if I do that.

My nephews get cash and a few smellies, brothers girlfriends easy - she wants Disney DVD's and anything sparkly, Nan's 97 so god only knows what to get her and my Dad's a giver rather than a taker and never wants anything so no clue for him either!

    xx

Don't know what make up your mum likes, but I like the natural collection from Boots, there from £1.99 and last as good as the more expensive brands. I like no 7, theres an offer on that at the moment, if you spend think £21 or £22 you get a free bag of goodies.

Sure families are the hardest to get for, the plan is to get dad a portable digital radio, as his is stoneage... then Whisky and Beer, can't go wrong with that, did buy him a jacket from Argos, Regatta jck, in sale £12 instead of £40, got him to try it on, he then put it on the clothes peg to wear, didn't have the heart to say its an xmas prezzie. xx

Tutus sound lovely Pablo and T would send you the survey link through your email xx

I came on to say I had email from Artscow, they are doing three of their photo gifts (certain selection) three for $15 (works out at £9.65) and its free posting too. I just ordered a watch for YD with her photo on it, a pack of playing cards for youngest GS with his photo on the backs and a photo jigsaw for GD with her and her brothers on it. I have had things from there before and they are a nice quality, havent had the watch before but for £3 something cant complain for a stocking filler. The code is THREEFOR15 if anyone else wants a look. The link to the web page with the things on is http://www.artscow.com/photo-gifts/three-for-fifteen

Thank you, love the sound of the watch, get one for Miss Hoodie with Bailey on it, encourage to tell the time!!
Hope YD ok, great minds think alike, we both recommended the Boots Natural Collection make up! xx

    Hi everyone :)

Elysia - the play went really well thank you. It was called 'the day of reckoning' I was so nervous as it was the first time I had done anything like it and I was given one of the main parts but I've had loads of positive feedback and I really enjoyed doing it as well.

Thanks Rufus - well done on giving up for 6 years, that's brilliant.

Thanks Pablos - I'm doing ok and think I'm over the worst of it now! I decided to just use will power as I had tried before with patches and the like and just felt like I was replacing one addiction with another so I thought that if I can tough it out for a few days it should then get easier (well I'm hoping it does lol!) Your right about the money - both me and my hubby were heavy smokers and we were spending about £80 - £100 a week!!! No wonder we never have any money lol!

I am very pleased with a bargain I got today from mr T's. I had been wanting to get my little 1 one of those battery powered quad bike things for xmas but they can be quite exspensive. Anyway, I went to T and they had one in there which was £60 reduced to £30 which is good by itself but I had £15 t vouchers and they are doing the double your vouchers promotion at the moment so I ended up getting it for free! I am so happy with it and I can't wait to see her little face on xmas morning.

Right, I had better get myself off to bed (having one of those nights where my brain will not switch off lol!) Night all and hope you all have a great sunday.

    Morning all

Lovely sock monkeys chel, very pretty xx

My C balance is about 4p below a fiver now and I put another review on this morning so that should take me over the £5 tomorrow. I havent got time to do rating this morning as going to see my dad. Going to take the sofa measurements with me so I can have a go at working out what we need to get. I have a couple more reviews I can copy over still on DY so quite pleased with this months bonus. Glad they did it at 50p though as dont think I would have had enough if they were 25p like last month.

Chel - Lovely sock monkeys. I like the way you do their hands and feet. Mine are just basic.

Well done with the reviews Rufus - I've not done one all week - but I did get £4 in bonuses on dooU this week, so that partly makes up for it. ;)

DJ - I have nights like that regularly. You need to turn the comp off earlier - I've been doing it this week, and feel better for it already - mind you it could be that or the berocca tablets. You never know. :)

Mum2one - your dad taking the jacket is so funny. MIne would do exactly the same. I didn't notice about the mini perfumes not being in the 3 for 2. I bought all mine in the Jan sales. :D

Ginger - GTM is a tough nut to crack. In two years I've redeemed for one £5 voucher, and I'm not even half way to another. Reviews are very few and far between, and when they come they are for a pittance. I'm getting to redeem and giving up with that one. :(

How is everyone this sunny morning? (well it is here) Do you know what day it is in our house? PUTTING THE CHRISTMAS TREE UP DAY!!! YIPPEE. I'd put it up earlier if I could, but we have to get halloween and bonfire night out of the way first. Need to do a clean this morning, and get the tree and decs out this afternoon. :D

ETA while I remember - It's tissue for Legend and S&S today.

  • Christmas tree???? its only the 6th November!!! We put ours up the first weekend of December, this year we're probably going to get a real one and I CANT WAIT! I love the smell of christmas trees eeeeeeeeeee excited.

How cold is it today!! Woke up to condensation on all the windows so have had to go round wiping them all down, I think it might be time to put the heating for a little bit...

The tutus are really easy to make, literally just tying strips of tulle onto elastic, no sewing involved! google no sew tutu and theres loads of tutorials for them.
Didnt manage any craft yesterday, ended up in Ikea buying a chest of drawers, a chair and a shoe rack (and the random other bits that seem to fall in the basket of course -got a red fleece blanket which will be used when the decorations are up, very festive) then went to a fireworks display so no money making but ALOT of money spending yesterday doh!

I'll keep checking my emails for the T survey then, I got the product on Wednesday/Thursday so I'm guessing I'll get an email tomorrow or Tuesday.

  • Hi everyone, hope your having a relaxing weekend. Had to call the paremedics out yesterday as hubby accidentally smashed a glass encasing around a lightbulb getting something out of the cupboard and cut his hand quite badly, severed a vein. blood all over everything. Luckily it wasn't too serious and luckily none of the glass had got in his eye or anything much more serious. I probably wont be around much over the next week as I have to do all the things hubby wont be able to do until his hand is better. So tired today but have to go out in a bit.

Thanks for the reminder Elysia, will need another reminder this evening for s&s and food panel as I am bound to forget.

Thanks for the tip on the tutus pablos, they look fantastic but there is no indication of how much material is needed, how much it costs or how much time it takes which is a shame as that would make these tutorials much better. They do look really good though and I do fancy making a two tiered on for my little princess :D

Off to see if I can make £1 on viva so I can redeem. have a lovely Sunday all.
