Michelle - there's always something isn't there? It was nieces birthday last week, and November is my worst month for Birthdays, and then January. I have to get the Jan ones before xmas as there's usually not much left in the sales. Thank goodness I started early that's all I can say.

I told mum yesterday I'm not buying for Neice (22) and Nephew (who's 20) any more. I just can't do it. So that's another couple off the list. I don't lke to do it :(, but they both have jobs, are earning good money, and living at home, so they are loaded. They won't miss it really, but I'll be grateful of not having to buy those extra two. :o

I've got car insurance due next month too - last year pd £400, cheapest I've seen this year is £280, no help with cb sites tho but will get a cheeky meerkat toy lol!
Have managed to list about 25 items on ebay so far, put some football boots on that are my sons brand new with a bin and they have sold already so have met my £2.50 a day target for this week! There are 3 other items also selling already and quite a few with watchers. Going to write up some more listings ready to put on. I've done s&s for this week already! Have got to decide which bike we are getting dd for Christmas so I can cash some of the vouchers in.
Found out yesterday I have won another prize on a competition - its a child's booster seat, but they will send me a voucher to purchase from Halfords. I don't actually need one so will be selling it on, hopefully this will come through quite quickly and I can recoup some much needed cash.
The wallpapering is coming along, and we should have new flooring by the weekend too! DH has finished the bathroom which looks great, and is going to paint dd bedroom tomorrow. I need to clear her room ready for him, so really should get on with that!
Got parents evening for both kids tonight, I think I may be pleasantly surprised...

Sorry to hear about the problems with CSA, they really turn the screws don't they. Hope you manage to get it sorted without too much stress.

  • I am just glad like you say I have been buying stuff all year, and done what I can. It was the impulse trip to centre parcs, followed by the pup which got me. Actually, saying that, it has been hard all year after DHs old car needed lots of repairs January and February, and then he decided to swap cars in March. The rest of the year since has just been one hard slog. :o

I am much better off now though after pushing so hard with you guys. If I were doing it by myself I would be in a pickle by now I am sure.
  • Sorry to hear it's been an expensive year for all, my car tax is due this month and I'm debating whether to pay for the year or not it's so expensive.

If your looking for car insurance ladies check out martins weekly email/newsletter. It shows you how your occupation has an effect on your quote and how changing the wording of your job title can reduce your quote, ie marketing administrator would cost you alot more than just administrator etc. and the step by step guide to getting cheap insurance. Although with insurance being hiked up again it is a challenge. Next year I thoroughly expect to half mine which will be a big relief moneywise.

Glad to have got the boots deal, moneymaking hasn't happened yet today so that filled my quota, got two (one for me and hubby) so in theory if I refer him to treatstreet we made a £30 profit today. I think I'm saving it for their sales though as there isn't much I want.

I know what you mean michelle, our trip to centre parcs threw us right off, we didn't worry about money on holiday as it ruins the fun but spent way too much whilst we were there I think. Thank goodness for being so organised, buying early and I agree without you ladies we would be fretting about money right now :)

    Hi guys :)

Just popping on before my older girls get back from netball, then I'll have to get the dinner on and I'm off to my drama group again tonight - first dress rehearsal!!!

Thanks to all that have rated me and big thanks to Elysia for your comments. Just one question - It says that you can get an amazon voucher with 20,000 points and I just wondered how much the amazon voucher would be for? Thanks.

Congratulations Mum2three, lets hope things start to get better from now on. Fingers crossed about the cyst.

I have had a busy day after all. Was out all morning, got back and made a start on the cushion I have an order for, then left that to meet my friend, came back and did a bit more to cushion, then ED came with two of the GKs. I have got it done as far as I can now until I hear back again from my customer.

Will be out again tomorrow with ED but hoping I will be back early afternoon to get this cushion finished off then I can put it on the shop to sell and hopefully post it on Friday if the lady has paid. I am hoping she won't need to see if first as OH has taken my camera away with him but if she does want to see if I will have to see if my bro will take a photo for me.

No more surveys this afternoon, had a few in my inbox but got kicked out of them all.

Rufus - you sound busier than ever. I was worried you might be lonely.

Dj on DoU - it's a £20 Am voucher for 20,000 points or you can redeem on Chow when you reach £5 (paid by BACS). :) I'm glad it helped. If you need any more assistance let me know. :)

Mum2three - congrats. I'm sorry to hear about your cyst though. Lets hope they can do something without surgery, but it doesn't look likely now though. :( I hope it's not causing too much pain.

Pablos - well done on getting the bag half done. Can I come to yours tonight for tea? We've got boring sausage and mash. :)

Michelle - You've done fabulously, and are still doing so. Don't let it get you down, but don't keep thinking you can keep it up at this pace because you can't. You need to find a happy medium - we all do.

Well I've managed a £5 survey on NV today - it's only taken me four hours though. IE kept crashing and everytime it did, I got locked out of the survey for 15 mins. In the end I gave up and did it in CHrome. Why didn't I do that in the first place? Grrr Stupid me.

I've also had a big push on OP - I've earned £5 on there since Monday. I only need another fiver to redeem, and it's my aim to do it before the end of the month :)

I have had another order tonight for a table runner so going to get that done over the weekend.
