Oh my heck that is a price and a half, I didn't pass till my 3rd attempt, the 1st I hit the kerb while doing the reverse round the corner, the 2nd failed again on reversing, this time I ended up on other side of the road, my 3rd had to be the best, different test bloke, the minute got in the car the bloke started scratching, then we came out of test centre, and this car decided to come out of side street nearly hitting the car, so it was an unpredicted emergency stop, at the point got it into my head that I'd failed, then at the end they asked the questions, always remember one question stuck in my mind, when can you enter a yellow junction box, mind went blank, so I said when you stall the car!! then realised it was at traffic lights, blurted that out.
Got back to the test centre, expecting the fail certificate out comes the pass...... never been so shocked in my life..

Can't believe the price of driving lessons now (back in the good old days!! 1988/89) I was paying £6 per hour! had 40 driving lessons:eek:

At least your booked in ready for the next one, your be fine
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Cornish - I was sending loads of positive vibes, it must have been the other lot. :p Sorry to hear you didn't pass, but remember it's third time lucky. :D You know what to expect now, and it's all extra experience. :)

Michelle - Murphy is a great name. We have a Jack Russell called..............................Jack. :rotfl:

Skergirl - sorry to hear your items didn't do as well as you'd hoped but it all extra pennies. Hopefully your next lot will do better.

Nicky - went back again but no joy for star wars stuff. :(

    How's everyone else today?

  • I've got an awful cold this week, I dont even know what I'm allowed to take, have doc appointment for repeat iron test tomorrow (great) so I might ask what I can have at the pharmacy there.

Sorry to say but I don't think there's much you can take. I had an awful cold a couple of weeks ago and I was told to have lots of honey and lemon drinks. You can't take any decongestants like Lemsip or Beechams as there's something in them that pregnant women mustn't have. You can take paracetamol though, that's about it. Keep having lots and lots of drinks, oh and you could try filling a bowl with boiling water and breathing it in with a towel over your head. I did that a few times and it really helped - made my skin look better too!

Cornish - sorry to hear about the driving test. I have to admit I wasn't sending any vibes as I didn't read yesterday's message until just now. I will start sending good vibes for your next test right now!

I did a 300 point Maxi survey earlier so that takes me to enough points for a voucher, once the points are credited. It will seem like a long wait now.

Some people seem to get them daily, and I find i only get them on a Wednesday and Friday.

Just been on the phone for about an hour and a half with my mum. Dangerous. While she was on the phone, I ended up spending another £50 on dog stuff. Oh, and £1 on the cat cos i felt guilty. :o (£35 of that was a great big bag of dog food though, so not feeling too bad. Then dental toothpaste and sticks. We have enough bad breath/tooth decay from the cat. )

Cat is also now sulking with me as I have flea and worm treated him this week, all in aid of getting the pup. We might be getting him Sunday if we have everything ready. :DAnd I am going to see him tomorrow afternoon. :D I am too easily excited at the moment.

Michelle - Fingers crossed everything goes well and can pick him up. You seem to be all organised, so I expect you'll be fine. Have a lovely time at your Mum's this afternoon.

I'm really getting fed up now. I've been having Pablos trouble on T. Every single survey I'm being screened out of even though they've sent it to me. S&S won't work, and despite signing back up to Ips, I still can't log in. It's not just those three, there are others too. I just don't know how to rectify the problem. :(

It was OH's day off yesterday, and I picked up some more bits from T's, so I've been on the toy thread arranging swaps.

  • Morning all,

feel good today, so hopefully will get lots done, woke up to a nice one from ipsos so look out for it, it is a download for smart phone and computer, it tracks internet usage, i dont mind this as i dont do work stuff on my comp yet. it is a £15 voucher for downloading and then another £15 voucher if you keep it on your comp and phone till december.

Right off to get the munchkins ready to head to school then take the DVD's back to the video shop ( i dont know why i still call it that - my kiddos correct me every time)
