it says you can do jobs such as writing articles. who are these articles written for? and does your name show up to the person/company who it is written for? are the articles worth it?0 -
You can do writing jobs, but the test to see at what level your ability is at, is very rare. I've been lucky enough (or not) to take it. If you do find it, it's worth giving it a go - but only if you're used to writing review etc in the first place.
They mark you out of five on the test. I got three, and then for every job that comes in for a level three, I could apply for them.
You have a long list of jobs, and what they pay. I chose one about solar panels and where in the UK stocks them and at what prices. The articles are supposed to go into newspapers and magazines etc. For this piece of writing that took hours trawling the internet and writing, I should have got £6. Not really worth it, but it could take days to earn £6 with surveys sometimes.
It was given a deadline of two days to complete it, and sent it via email - this is where things go wrong. I can't remember correctly now, but about three or four weeks later no-one had checked it, and approved it. When it was checked, they said I had plagerised it.
There was absolutely no truth in this whatsoever. That is something I'd never do. I did all my own research and gave links to websites I'd looked at, to prove this the case. The only thing I can think of, is that either 1. they didn't check it in time, and was trying to get out of paying me OR 2. they used it anyway, and still tried to get out of paying me.
Because of this, I cannot apply for any more jobs on there - but It's not a problem anyway, as I wouldn't risk it even if they paid £100.
In answer to your other question, no no-one can tell that you wrote it. It's sent off I presume, anoymously. The main jobs on there were about Solar panels, stockists and suppliers, but that was me being level 3, for the test I had to write about the background and benefits of botox.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi all,
Sorry I have been awol, I have been reading and thanking but just haven't had the time or energy to reply *hangs head in shame*
On the money making front it is only due to my car insurance finally tracking - £80, plus getting paid for some testing I did before - £25, that I have made anything. I have been so busy with the twins, helping with my friends little girl, working evenings, avon , gigging and geting ready for my Ofsted visit that whenever I am able to stop my head goes to mush.
I have now had my Ofsted and it went brilliantly, so positive. She said from talking to me I obviously knew what I was doing. I should be ready to go by mid Sept, just need to wait for the certificate and my insurance to come through. Just hope I get work, money is so tight at the moment. I do lots of bits of work but all pay so little that it's a struggle. Never mind next year will be better.
So sorry Elysia to hear your sad news and yours Foxy. Hoping that everyone else is ok. Should be back posting now so will keep up with you all properly.
Take care

Morning everyone, thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
BunBun - we are going camping - last time we went we were freezing the first night so went out and found a Tesco and bought a big duvet! I've decided that when you go you need to have something on top of the airbed, like a duvet before your sleeping bag, cos you're effectively sleeping on cold air aren't you! We are going somewhere in the Peak District, I've got to book the site today, fingers crossed for nice weather.
Had a good sale on ebay - an item bought for £1 at a local market a couple of weeks ago sold for £12.50 so made good money on that, and has boosted my £2.50 a day fund for the month. A couple of other items also sold and the one still listed has a bid on it too. I know its free listing weekend again so am going to spend this afternoon photographing and doing the descriptions ready!
Can you refer for Viva or can I just sign up? Think I need to make an effort!Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
