    Afternoon all

Glad your little boy's hand isn't too bad Michelle. My Grandson shut his finger in the door at my brother's birthday party, he screamed the house down for hours after. I thought he would have to go to the hospital as it looked really badly bruised but next day there was hardly a mark there lol.

Elysia, don't beat yourself up about being late, at least you went, a lot of parents don'e bother going to these things at the schools.

I gave up WH as well when the amounts changed, I was way off getting a voucher anyway so wasn't worth the bother any more.

I had two £1 surveys from SN this morning, first surveys I think all week. Also had an Ips one. Haven't checked tonight yet.

I have finished making two bags for my shop, need to get some nice photos done but can't be bothered this afternoon. I have been cutting out some more bags. I cut out four of the outer shells, and I stand up to do it at my ironing board and it makes my legs ache after a while. I was lucky for fabrics, OH's dad gave him a bag of clothes to sort through if he wanted any or chuck them. Got a pair of black cords out of them which looked new still so cut two bags out of them. Also went to charity shop and bought something, not sure what it was lol but it is a piece of lilac coloured velvet backed with some other lilac coloured fabric. I have cut two bags out of the velvet, hoping to get the linings out of the back. Cost me £1.99. Other bit I bought will probs make one bag, was a brown skirt in a moleskin kind of fabric, cost 25p. Have plenty of sewing to do now.

Just a flying visit but wanted to say -

Elysia - if that's the worst you've ever done then you'll not be winning any bad mum trophies just yet! Your DD is probably so used to you attending every school event so it surprised her when you weren't there straight away, she'll get over it quickly :). As many people have said, so many parents don't bother to go to anything at the schools. I see so many of my class get really disappointed when their parents miss their assemblies, sports day, parents evening etc. Of course some parents work and those kids always seem to understand why their parents can't be there, and they're fine with it. It's those parents who are sat at home (or in the pub!) and never bother to come to support their child that annoy me. I have taught my class for a full year and still haven't met some of their parents .

rufus you have been busy! I love the material and style of the top you have made for yourself and the colours of your quilt are fab:j

I have continued with WH and tend to have it on in the background whilst I am doing other things. I have forgotten to log in to it the past few days though

I am still not going anywhere very fast with SB and I am sure my points have gone down at least once

well done michelle on your tax credit rebate:j we finally had a letter about our tax credits to say we won't be getting anything his year and we have been overpaid 3 months (April, May,June) and they will claim this from future payments. since we are not getting any payments I am not sure how they will reclaim it but not going to worry about it! I can't understand why the renewals are done in July but payments are from April:mad:

    I redeemed on ip*o* yesterday, £10 amazon:j

my ds1 decided he wanted to be called Derek:eek: he has just told me that another boy also called Luke changed his name to Derek too when he was at primary school - spooky:eek:

TC sure is a dodgy system. It was only something that made us twig, as we have looked through it all many times, and rang them up. It is annoying when we could have had £70 a month off them and things felt less tight, but at least I have done something worthwhile now. It must be frustrating when they decide you owe them.

Oh dear it's been one of those days today, dd has been a complete monster today, stuck on my tma, missing parcels, found out at 9pm mobile has been cut off as I didn't top it up in time and hubby bought a boxset of one of his favourite series which gets 10 minutes in on each disk then goes blank.

The only redeeming moment of today was when I picked up dd and she gave me a tight cuddle with a content look on her face and said 'happy' with a smile. They know how to push all the buttons and know how to make it all better don't they

I haven't heard from tax credits yet, I'm not holding out much hope of positive news, the last time I spoke to them they had made an administration error and were very rude about the whole instance.

Elysia, don't feel bad you certainly are not a bad mum at all. We all get mixed up with times now and then, I'm sure she understands but I can empathise how you feel, it's heartbreaking seeing your kids upset.

Michelle, glad to hear ds is ok, sounds like he was a brave boy.

You're telling me it's frustrating. When I gave up my job (four hours a week) and at the same time, our TC went up. I thought it was due to only one wage, but they'd made a mistake - we owed them £4,000. We had no TC for 6 months, and then reduced payments for about 4 years. That was stressful. I can tell you.

Nicky - some parents like that at our school. I go to everything. I volunteer for everything too. I did it with DD1, so I do it for DD2. I think it was the shock that I wasn't that surprised her, like you say. She wasn't too troubled before she saw me. ;)

Bunbun - DD1 says she's going to charge me for I.T. support the amount of times I ask her to mend something I've done wrong on comp, so I fully understand. :) Derek - imagine shouting that down the street? My Uncle is Derek and he's nearly 80. LOL

Rufus - busy girl. I can't wait to see these bags. Are the same as the ones you did before?

ETA: Sorry Savvy, I must have been typing when you posted. The only way is up, and those special cuddles cure everything. :D I hope you get your phone sorted.

I can't remember half of our abbreviations half the time, I takes me a second to register. God knows how everyone else figures it out.

The two reviews I did yesterday - are now on Chow, so I'm steaming ahead. I tried to make a product suggestion on DooU today, and they've stopped accepting them because they are snowed under. They should do it more like Chow - It's so much easier. ;)

Night everyone - I'm off now. It's OH day off tomorrow, so I'll be on later. Take care xxx

I got spolit today, as the class I normally read their TA is leaving, shes a lovely lady, I sent her a necklace, bracelet _ earrings set (all home made), she was really touched, she called today and she's brought me a pot plant, a robin keyring, as it reminded her of me with a big heart, and a lovely card thanking me for everything.

Then Miss Hoodie came home tonight, with a card all signed from her class, and a present, 3 books, as a thank you for reading with them and helping with IEP word.

I didn't expect anything of anyone, a thank-you from the head would have been nice, but don't hold your breath.

    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

You were spoiled mum2one, and that is lovely. Nice to be appreciated. People remember the teachers but forget the assistants. We gave the lollipop lady a small box of chocs today, as she has been fab all through this year. Without her I am sure one of the kids would have been knocked over this year.

Popped in to say PC have given me a referral link if anyone needs one. I think most of us are on, but thought i would mention it if not.

More reviewing for me i think today, and some washing while the weather is gorgeous.

I wrote another 2 last night for chow of things that will need to be added. I plan to spend the weekend doing that so there is time to add them before the bonus period runs out. Takes me to 10/35.

Elysia - the bags are like my starry Cath Kidston one with all the pockets and a shoulder strap. eldest grandson is coming round in a bit to help me get some more bits done so I will get the photos done then and put them on the shop this afternoon if all goes well.

Bunbun - thanks for the comments. I love the fabric for the top too, it was just so me when I saw it on the stall. I love flowery tops.

I have got another review done this morning, thats 4/25 done. Nearly at my next redeem, think some more ratings and another review and ratings would tip it over. The vouchers will come in handy as OH and YD both want new phones for Christmas.

I am near to another redeem on I*s*s but I haven't had the last one yet. Thought they used to be quite quick in sending them out. I just checked, the last one before took three days from claim to sending out, this one I claimed 30/6 and it says stage 2 what ever that is.

No surveys this morning, did a couple of T quick polls, am just over 70,000 on there. Hoping that will go to 80 before the months out.
