Iseriously have no motivation for money making, Will try and get my act together today, i have a load of mysurvey surveys waiting so think i will work myway through them this morning whil eit ias raining and i am not going anywhere.
stepmum - fantastic news on finishing the course, and fab on teh free insurance. I cant wait to get started with mine in September, hopefully ofstead come soon and you can get started.0 -
I hope everyone is well this morning
Thanks for the reminder to check T'looney for vouchers, my Amazon voucher had come throughIt's prefect timing as my Dad had asked for a couple of dvds for his birthday next week, so now they are money neutral, yeay!!
How is everyone's veg growing? My strawberries are still great, we're getting quite a few every day, just got to get to them before the birds and bugs. I had a surprise in the back garden, some of our blackberries are ripe already! We picked around a dozen and they were very tasty, I wasn't expecting them for at least another month. We have LOADS of green ones so I will swamped in blackberries when they all become ready at the same time! Good job I have 2 freezers now
I'm up for a review writing challenge, I've barely done any reviews this year at all but it was my best earner last year. Summer holidays start soon (5 teaching days and counting!) so I'll have loads more free time. I'll start taking my notebook on car journeys so I can write a few even when we're having lots of day trips.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Yeah me too with the reviews although I like to do DY instead of the C one.
Had one survey last night that I qualified for from T, nothing else though and had an inbox full of them.0 -
Morning all, hope you all are well this gloomy morning.
Well done on your money making everyone, paying off credit cards and completing courses. Lots of fantastic news there.
Didn't manage to get to the next sale this morning and slept through my alarm so missed the online sale too. Not very happy about that but I guess it's saved a fair few pennies. Money making has been abbysmal this month and with such a lack of surveys I am going to have to rely on ebay now I think. I wont be doing any reviews though, it's TMA time again (doesn't it come around quickly!) and I get so sick and tired of writing several drafts that I just cant find the enthusiasm for more writing unfortunately.
Not sure how to get motivated again, I have no idea where all the surveys have gone.Comping wishlist for 2017

sorry I had not seen your previous post and didnlt realise that you couldn't use them for anything. still dont really know what I am doing on there.0 -
Sorry hon - I hope I didn't come across as abrupt, i was heavily multi tasking last night. I just didn't want anyone to waste time claiming them as they sit on your account and you can't do a single thing with them.
Managed to stay in bed till after 9 this morning as the kids were playing a game in their bedroom. Much needed. I need to tackle Mr t on my own in a bit, and do my shop and scan stuff before that.
I was thinking you all seem to be saying you want a challenge for reviews. Mini - challenge - the Dooyoo competition this month is any review written in the household appliances category. So, I challenge you guys to find a review that you can write that can double up as a competition entry.
Details here copied from DY:
This month's category: Household Appliances
July's Competition
This month the competition will be held in the Household Appliances category. There’s a lot of scope for reviewers in there, which means there will be a lot of healthy competition! Coffee Machines, Cookers, Fryers and Dish Washers are just a few of the options available. We’ll be on the hunt for the top three reviews, so whatever is your appliance of choice, we want to hear your opinion.
We all must have something in one of these categories, and the appliances are mostly higher rated items.
You can win up to 5000 points, so just one entry, or more if you can to get us all going. I am going to do my TD, my toaster, my smoothie maker, my dehydrator, and anything else I can find just to get you thinking.
We've got to be in it to win it. And it is not luck, it is being in the right place at the right time.
Also, if you haven't already, like the facebook page as when they hit 600 likes they are going to do a prize draw, and it is getting pretty close there.0 -

it is pouring with rain here and we have the school fair this afternoon:(

Thanks Michelle. Claire also pm'd me an idea for a review challenge, so even better - we can do both.
Here is Claire's idea: When I am struggling to find the motivation to write reviews I write down a target of how many reviews I want to aim to write that month and tick them off as I do them. I never use the points as a target as sometimes I find it disheartening. You could get people to declare their aim on here for the end of august it might motivate everyone to push. I say the end of august as lots of people will be on holiday soon. Not forgetting their is lots of review opportunities when you are away reviewing eating places, tourist attractions, things you have bought fir holiday. Hope this helps and makes some sense. Claire x
So basically, have a number of reviews you want to complete before the end of August (rather than X amount of £'s).
I'll take you both up on your challenges, and aim to write 15 over the next weeks and I will do a home one that fits in with Michelle's challange, before the end of the month.
I'm going to write 1 - 15 on a chart and cross them off as I go, I get more motivation that way. Just for reference, the last review I wrote is Chatman, so it'll be easy for you lot to check up on me. If I start slacking I don't mind if you shout at me. OK?
Savvy - I challenge you to make £50 on ebay - don't forget it's free listing this weekend.
How's everyone doing with referall's. I posted one link on the referals board. Nothing has come from that yet, but someone I referred to TCB when it was £5 a referal, has only just started using it regularly, so I've got £5 from that.
Electric has come back on now, it's been off this morning - We had a storm in the night, and there must have been a power surge and tripped the switch on the main fuseboard. We've had two games of Scrabble as there was nothing to do. :rotfl:I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Elysia - why don't we make that the challenge for August then for all. Those who don't do reviews could do it as i will try to do x surveys across the sites by the end of August.
Another friend of mine here, said to me to just focus on the next five pound target. Or I was doing £1 at least per day.
Do you think we are all just getting a bit fatigued?
I was also thinking along the lines of for myself, I am going like a spray gun and trying to hit everything, and it is not always the best use of my time and energy as other things like menu planning fall to pot, so I then end up spending more than I am earning as I have not used my resources best.
I was thinking I might drop a few of the survey sites that are annoying me, and concentrate on things I enjoy and are profitable. No point doing it if I am sat there mentally kicking myself for wasting my time.
I'm also going to take at least 10 days fully off on hols as we will have no internet access and I do need to have a break and smell the roses. All the headaches and aches and pains this week are telling me I need to look after myself a little better.
ETA - referrals, I haven't actively touted, but someone emailed me here and asked for a maximiles referral so i got 2000 points (about £6.66 in vouchers) for that.0
