Also, if you havent already seen, on Post 3 its where Elysia puts all the challenges, (just had to go and have a look where everything is), and for this month she suggested we all try to make something and sell it if we can which is what gave me a kick to get my Folksy shop up and going. I am hoping some of the others will take the plunge and do it too as there are a lot of them on here already who are good at different crafts, then we could all try and help each other with promoting etc.0

Thought I'd update you that I finally got enough points on DY so should be able to claim my cheque soon! That means my husband can have his DS now. Got £10 on MyS as well and am just waiting for points to clear on VO then I've got £10 there as well. It's good to find out on here all the other sites and things people do so I might have to join some more at some point.
Hope you're all having a good weekend!Craft BustingCards 21/50Gifts 11/200 -
sorry Susan - I was too busy saying hello to HMO and didn't answer your question.
THe image was a stamp (Magnolia Tilda) but I cheat and buy a pack of pre-stamped images off ebay - that way I can scan the image like you do, and can print loads of copies later.
I'll have a look at your card in a minute.
Hmo - No you won't get millions honestly. Some sites are really slow, and others are more regular. If you can, sign up to vivatic as they have surveys regularly - make sure you tick the box that says you want emails - as whenever you get that, there are some waiting for you. Payment is £10 by paypal and if you log in regularly you could do that in a week.
Onepoll is a good one, I'm pleased you signed up - really short surveys for 10p - 25p but you can get ten a day easily. The surveys might only be available for an hour or two, so if you can log in several times a day it's better. They don't email you very often, so you have to keep checking.
You won't be bombarded, honestly, and if you find you don't have time to complete the surveys in your inbox, come back to them later, they might be still available.
The one thing to remember is every penny counts, so however small the reward may be, they all mount up in the end.
It'll all be extra money for a new sewing machine, materials, or even Christmas presents.
Knit - well done on all your hard work hun. I knew you could do it.
I expect the next batch will be published Monday.or Tuesday, and then we'll be waiting for a nice big paypal payment.
Emmi - well done on all your hard work too hun. What a result! I'm glad your OH will get what he wanted - it makes all the hard work worthwhile doesn't it?I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Being Nosey, as I am and while sort of watching the Spainish Grand Prix, I have had a bit of a read, and a bit of scribble in the back of my diary. I too noticed the Make something and Sell it and thought thats what I am supposed to be doing as a living, and I havent even started. Procrastination or sheer demand on my life I am not so sure, but also a kick in the pants to me too!

aaah, my own folksy shop is what I am wanting to do as I get better. There's some lovely things on there and I know if I just learned the skills necessary I could too. I can and do crochet, children's slippers being my speciality so I might just start soon.
What are the costs involved in folksy. Do they charge you to sell on there?0 -
Freudian - they would be PERFECT for folksy. Apparently it only costs 20p to list five things (that are all the same), and they take a cut, just like ebay. The listings also last for six months (unlike 10 days on ebay) so you are not constantly relisting all the while.
What's better is people on Folksy/Etsy appreciate the time and effort that something home/handmade entails and are willing to pay more. On ebay people just want a bargain.

You too Mooloo!!! We'll be behind you every step of the way. Rufus has set her shop up just this week. I'm sure she won't mind if you have any questions.I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Hi Mooloo, glad to see you over here too, the more the merrier. I was watching grandprix too, kept popping back on here to see what was happening, both exciting lol having you lot come over xx
I have a link to my shop on my home page so anyone can see what its like. Early days for me, just took the plunge a couple of days ago. Spent the rest of the week trying to find out how to get it on my facebook and have now sorted that too.
I have not done too bad on Ebay this month, have made about £36 so far this month, have put £12 of it away for Grandson as Son borrowed his money to start it all off so still have £24 profit and all fees are paid up and a week to go still.
Not many surveys today so going to get on with some sewing now for the rest of the afternoon, want to get a big chunk of Dad's quilt out of the way if I can so I can get on with some other bits in the week.
Before I go just to add I have £11 of L2S vouchers now so might just give these to youngest daughter with her birthday present. She has £10 Boots vouchers already so will buy her some extra bits and pieces.0 -
 Hello lovely new to the thread people
Elysia summed it up nicely, just do what you can and see how you get on. Every penny helps
I think I may have to pop over to the crafty part of the thread now and get some ideas of things to make. I can't really get a sewing machine as there is little to no space left in the house, every corner and cubby hole is filled to the brim with presents lolComping wishlist for 2017

Rufus - I've just had a look at your Folksy page and I LOVE your items so much!! I especially love the patchwork baby playmats, if I knew whether this baby was a boy or girl then I might not be able to stop myself buying one of those

Also, a HUGE welcome and hello to our new members, it's lovely to see lots of new people joining us :T. I hope you have lots of fun here!
Well, I managed to write 2 shopping.com guides in the end and I think that will be it for me. I was struggling to find things in the top products section that I could actually write 400 words about. Anyway, I'm more than happy with £20 for two guides
