Savvybunny : On the facebook group it says that the 300 reviews has now been reached and payment will be made monday with the winner being announced too
. Occasionally they can be a day or two later than he says if they have tech problems but he will usually update on the facebook group saying so.
Is it the Cake Days hummingbird you have or the old one? Still no sign of my old one from my dance teacher
But in WHSmith today I saw the new one Cake Days, and... I fell in love! Could never spend £20 on a cookbook but its half price at the minute so thought I would check internet prices first and then after the car boot on sunday, treat myself to it

Morning everyone. Up early with back pain that has kept me awake most of the night and have finally given up and come downstairs. Feels like a trapped nerve behind my shoulder blade. All I know is it B****DY hurts
Having to shallow breathe or it spasms.
Sorry I haven't been around much, money making for me has been rubbish this month. Ebay items didn't sell although not really surprised as they were relists. Have found a bit more for this weekend but nothing broken for the challenge. Couldn't afford to put my shopping savings in the jar so that is nil. Did manage a £10 redeem on ipos so that is something but with my sisters wedding, nephew and friends birthday, car and bike insurance due and sons 18th coming up this month has been spend not save. On the plus side the gift money all came from my saved money so that was good.
So sorry to all having a tough time, especially you Twinkle. Sending :grouphug: to all who need them. They have got to be the dodgiest icons ever!! :rotfl:
Take care all

morning stepmum,
i know just how you feel on nearly everything there, my back is killing me after my baking last night, thought it would ease off when i went to bed but it hasn't. money making for me has been zero this year, when i start saving, something comes up and i need it, and my OH is a pain in the rear as well, as soon as he knows i've got a little something put by,.......oh it burns a really big hole in his pocket even tho its not in 'his' pocket lol, i did have £10 amazon vouchers from the beginning of the year, my first ever, and he just went on and on about it and how we could save if i got him 'this' book with it and i kept saying, 'no' its for xmas pressies, he'd just go on and on about we can still save and 'it wont hurt just this once' etc etc, i just give in for the peace and quiet, same as tesco vouchers that i 'did' have and £40 that i managed to 'ice' by even tho we are always struggling, its all gone! the only way i could possibly do anymore is if i keep it secret from him, which i really hate doing, and if he found out then it would cause a really big row but i dont know of any other way. any ideas would be greatfully recieved lol.
at least i'm starting on my ds1 18th and dd3 21st, one is in june and the other in aug, with vista, got a £50 order for £6 the other day.
the car!! well, i dont know where to start, OH doesnt drive or have any knowledge about cars, and doesnt seem to realise how important certain things are on a vehicle, like tyres! and brakes!, just a for instance. both need doing desperately, he says to get it done....but where does the money come from???? grrrrrr men!!!! sorry for the moan lol it just reminded me of ..........well me lol
lots of love and good luck hun
and to anyone else too

Morning All, Woken up to a bright blue sky and a layer of Frost, looks like its going to be a lovely day

Stepmum, that sounds painful, I get sciatica in my lower back now and again and when it comes its AGONY!
xrestrictedx My Ex was the same, he spent with no consequences, he'd see something and want it, no matter what. ~Most of the time he would just go and buy stuff. There was no point in arguing. Now Im a saver..... If you want to save, i would just not tell him. Its not really a secret as it will benefit him in the end. As for the car, i do find NON drivers think it runs on freshair and doesn't cost to get get things done. If I were you, get prices of what is required and tell him, I take it he is a passenger in the car?
To everyone, I hope you are well

(((((HUGS))))) to everyone who needs them. I hope everyone who is poorly or in pain feels better soon.
Today I am going to spend some time baking and, if the weather stays nice, I'm going to do a little bit of gardening. Our front and back gardens are both a right state as they were very neglected before we bought the house. It's our first Spring in this house so it's nice to see what is starting to grow, we've got LOADS of daffodils in the front garden!
I'm not ambitious enough to tackle the actual gardens yet though! I bought some little windowsill vegetable growing pots and started the courgettes and tomatoes last week. They've taken off really well and need seperating into bigger pots now, so that's probably all I'll manage.
I made a coconut and lime cake last night. I was going to drizzle lime icing over it, like in the recipe, and then take a picture to put on here. I nipped upstairs for 2 minutes and came back to 1/4 of the cake missing - DH couldn't resist apparently!! I suppose it's a compliment really
My little boy is sitting here watching the Swan Lake ballet. DH was watching a bit of it on Sky yesterday and he said DS was transfixed, couldn't take his eyes off it, so he recorded it for him. I put it on this morning while we had breakfast, expecting him to get bored after a few minutes, but he's been watching it for nearly 20 minutes
Still not much money making going on, but I did do those Shopping.com reviews so hopefully I'll get the £10 soon.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Morning everyone hope everyone has awoken to a beautiful blue sky today

Thanks giggles, I thought someone had mentioned that they would pay on friday, at least monday isn't too long to wait, I bet I made a couple of spelling mistakes though which would disqualify me, have to wait and see
I have both books, haven't even opened cake days yet but judging by the preview on their website there are some amazing recipes in there. Cheapest for cake days is amazon or whsmith, but if you know someone else who wants the book (or another book for £10) you could use the printable £5 off voucher and get two for £15 making them £7.50 each.
Your cakes are gorgeous restricted! They look so pretty and your icing and decoration are fab! I'm the saver in the family here, hubby doesn't know how much has been tucked away from here but he is aware that it is being tucked away. As long as Christmas doesn't cost us a penny then he will be happy enough. He has seen how many amazing deals I have had from this site he trusts my judgement so leaves me to it. I'm not sure what to suggest, I would probably not tell him if he is just going to spend it, I would feel like I was wasting my time putting all the effort in for nothing
I hope you can find something that works for you hun xx
So sorry to hear about your back pain stepmum, I only had sciatica in late pregnancy and that was agony, hope you feel better soon xxComping wishlist for 2017

Crossposted with you nicky hun, well done with your vegetables, I would love to do that but we have no garden sadly. And your lime pie sounds delicious, I think your hubby agrees too!
Make sure you keep that tape hun, you never know when you may need to keep him busy, Swan Lake is an odd one isn't it, it's pretty but I get bored after 5 minutes lol
Edit - Ooh my canvas just arrived!! All those that have ordered will be very pleased, I was worried about the quality but they have done a brilliant job

I see the tesco pricechecker is still not up. I did my shopping yesterday hoping to get a DTD voucher. I will take the stuff back if they dont cough up,and just go to tesco.
On another note. I have seen a house up for LET, a 2 bedroom terrace in a really good area, and bonus is, my Best Friend lives 2 doors away. I asked her first of she was ok if I moved there, she was ex-tactic, said don't get my hopes up. Its double the council rent, but its a house, with a garden, the first I have seen thats not a postage stamp. There is a really nice swing park just across the road. I could grow veg in the garden again, and Natasha could be safely out my back garden and playing. I emailed today and asked if I can view it. Im never going to get a council house. never in a million years................ I cant buy cause of my credit rating................ Soooo I think this is the best thing I can do

Hi everyone, just dropping by to say I`m ok
I put a longer post on sister thread, but just to let you know I`m having a break from money making at the moment.
I am plodding away slowly and would have loved the tesco thread but I`m taking things easy
Well done everyone on your money totals
restricted - just an idea, but you could make some money and spend it as soon as you got it on presents, that way there`d be nothing to hide. Just gifts for future occasions.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0
