Morning all  hope all are well and those who are poorly feel a bit better today.

It was reported in the Telegraph on Monday that T is being bought out by a private firm, which would explain why points haven't been applied. I hope that doesn't mean our points and outstanding vouchers are going to be lost in transition.

Not sure how you lot have so many in bingo, I only have six and running dangerously low on points, but the challenges are so boring:rotfl:

Dd's baby clothes are selling very well on ebay, may list some more tonight.

Seeings as we have all applied for our book, perhaps we should start a book club :p

  • Good morning everyone. Had such a busy few days with the business, figured out that I'm making (as in my take home!) is £300 p/week, which means when we move to Pompy I can get a PT job and concentrate on that! Whoop!

Thank you for the book link, I can't remember who posted it sorry :( And welcome along Chel. Just be a bit careful when you talk about the survey site that 'begins with P and falls out of the trees' as they can be very funny about being mentioned and I've read that people have been kicked off for talking about them.

Well ladies, following on from my exceptionally exciting baking experience on Monday, I have decided that I am no longer going to bake. I know, it is a sad sad day, but I am doing this for the sake of my oven. It is for the best.

In other news, I went to the butchers on the way home last night to get something for tea, asked for 400g of mince and got the most loveliest Devonshire steak mince for the same price as the 'normal' mince (had absolutely nothing to do with fluttering my eyelashes at the butcher), so basically half price, some stewing steak for half price and loads of bacon off cuts for 95p, grand total, less than a fiver. Was hoping to make a nice big spag bol and freeze the left overs in our spanking new empty freezer, but OH said it was so lovely he practically finished the lot!! It was so lovely, and without sounding like an odd ball, or to put off any veggies we have reading, it tasted like proper beef and no fat came out of it at all. I think I'm properly converted to the butchers!!

Savvy, love the idea of a book club :)

savvy love the idea of a book club , im a bookaholic, have hundreds of books :D
  • I've been a bit quiet - had a lot on this week since my hungover Saturday!
    • Got the princely sum of £2.42 yesterday from Quidco for my Thrifty account.
    • Am 6p away from a VO voucher but I've got around £5 pending so will pounce on that as soon as it becomes available
    • Have got to 3500 on dy, have a few reviews to catch up on and will try to do that tonight.
    • I have only 7 stars on wb but lots of other stars so I think my best route will be slowly upgrading, the challenges are pretty grim so maybe once a year will be my lot
    • Am waiting on a TL voucher coming and have 13000 ish points
    • Have had the slowest roadkill month ever - about 10p so far
I don't know what it is with ebay that the late bidders/small amount people are the worst at paying. I know when I buy I am always at my computer as soon as possible after to pay. Some people are just odd! :D

    Welcome to the gang, Chel!

  • thanks pinkfluffybabe :D

i know what you mean about ebay im waiting for 1 last person to pay from the stuff that ended sunday and it only went for 99p
annoying as it means another trip to the post office [petrol and parking] just for that , by the time you take out paypal and ebay fees im probably left with 10p :rotfl:
  • Nearly had the biggest road kill ever, a lady infront of me pulled out a tissue and out fell £50 from her pocket  I tried to call her but she was not listening, ended up trying to run to catch her whilst pushing double pram and dragging a poor 3 year old along, she jumped out of her skin when i tapped her shoulder bless her, she thought she had put the money in her purse after going to post office, my good deed for the day :)
