How fab! I will no doubt be able to ask you knowledgable advice if I get stuck then
Thanks for the advice, I was going to get the head mistress of a school I used to work at to sign it but tbh I think I will just get the jobcentre to do it.
Thank you so much for your advice, yesterday I was feeling so low I felt like quitting already as finding people to sign these forms seems an impossble challenge but now I have my mojo back
Thats brilliant news about the course, I started with B120, it was a really good course, good base to work from, if you sign up for BU130, its the most boring, wasteful course on history, but if your going for business degree - need it.
Anything I can help with, just shout.xx
Thank you 2, - just glad could come up with a few suggestions, it does feel like forms after another - sent u a pm xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
^ Wow! Pretty!
Does anyone have a good suggestion as to what to do for birthday cards? I have a lot of birthday cards to buy for the year and I'm thinking that at an average of £1 a card it's going to become very expensive. What can I do instead of cards (for the people I'm getting presents for?) Anyone have any handy hints?
Bit of a mixed batch of thoughts - but all nice.
Shop cards - say try Card warehouse - get a big a4 for 99p, and the smaller ones if you have a root round can get some for 29p - average is 59p to 89p.
Shop - Home Bargains - 2 ways here
1st - loose cards think its 2 for £1 - can be hit and miss, so may be worth doing the yearly list - then seeing if you can match up
2nd - bos of cards, ocassionally they have a box of 10 card for 59p (we pay £1 in devon for same)
box of 10 kids (5 boys, 5 girls),
mix and match (inc sorry forget your bday, get well, new home, symphaty)
Ladies cards - Flower pics nice verses
Brilliant Brainwave - (not halfcost for once its Vistaprint
Folded Notelets - base picture on front - say flower print for the ladies, where it lets you change the name - just add Happy Birthday, then when you need to use them, can add little personal message inside, - do the same for gents.
sure theres got to be a free offer floating around for the notecards, - make sure you get the folded ones. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

There is also a few offers on funky pigeon - a few pages back someone posted a really good deal for a few cheap/free cards.
Also M&S have a deal at the moment where if you buy 6 cards you get one free. It's not a huge amount but they have some really decent low priced cards.
Also, keep an eye out on the M&S sales - I got a few really nice birthday cards half price in their Jan sale. Had to go looking in stationary mind, but they were all really good quality.Thats brilliant news about the course, I started with B120, it was a really good course, good base to work from, if you sign up for BU130, its the most boring, wasteful course on history, but if your going for business degree - need it.

I did the DB123 course 'you and your money' which I think is an elective for the business degree. I loved it, it was really great and I knew a lot already being a big fan of this site. My next step was do go back and do B120 but then I started a PhD instead so no OU for me for a while! Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Esmer - that cake is beautiful. I agree - it's too nice to eat.
Wonders will never cease - I had a shock just - My redeem came through off BINGOPORT (uses CAPS). I'd even forgotten I'd redeemed, so that was a double shock. I thought they'd sent it me for compensation at first. :rotfl:
DDraig - I haven't a clue what you were talking about but it sound intriguing.
The funky pigeon offer expired, but I would go with mum2one's suggestion of using Vista.
Have a good day and I send big hugs to everyone who is poorly.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

In my budget card shop (think it's card factory) it's 10 cards for £1 and there is a great selection. I stocked up a few weeks back as they are always great for last minute cards too.0 -
