Thanks for the reply Foxy. They are in France but have a lot of feedback going back to at least 2008 and it is 100%. Some of it French, some UK. However I have decided not to do it and leave it as an auction at least for now. I dont like being rushed into things which I get the impression is what they were trying to do.0

Good morning. Its a miserable morning here in Devonshire and I wish I was still in bed. Bleak days like this really get me down.
Ddraig, that is AMAZING (sorry for the caps but I think they were necessary). Have you named it yet? I look at everyone's crafting/handmade wares and I wish I could do it too, but I'm rubbish at all that and about as creative as a newt.

Wow! So many posts to read. Glad ive had the morning to myself, 3 coffees later and im all read out!
Had a great week (10 days) on ebay. Made over £200 on bits and bobs. Did sell a nice rug for £40 so that was a bit of a chunk but the rest has been clothes and some toys. Well pleased.
Put a bit more in my shopping savings jar. Another £4.22 from this weeks shopping.
Started using Quidco and have £20 nearly. Every little helps!!
More stuff to ebay today, did the pics last night so will list later on, also need to go to the post office - They are going to love me! 12 items to post!!

Hi all
Bit of ebay advice needed please ? I have 5 watchers but no bids on one item. I have had a message today from someone wanting me to end the auction early as they are going away on thurs. They have offered to collect the item too (its bulky and would be difficult to pack) What would you experienced ebayers advise ?0 -
Morning everyone, hope we are all well today
Had a bit of a mini meltdown yesterday, sobbing into hundreds of boxes meant for the recycling. I thought it would be an idea to pull out all the recycling from december as the recycling men were refusing to take any recycling for some unknown reason. I pulled the boxes out and decided to reuse some for sending out the ebay items I had sold and then the whole bedroom was covered in boxes that needed de-addressing, I couldn't find the tape, one item wouldnt fit into any boxes even when I cut them up and tried to tape them. Gave up packing ebay items and sorted the boxes neatly in the hallway for hubby to deal with.
Today I went to the post office bought parcel tape and brown parcel paper, sorted it all out took half an hour to pack, label, and send. Soooo much easier! Feeling really positive after such an awful yesterday.
Received my shop and scan package yesterday, sorted it all out, first thing this morning they called to ask why I haven't submitted my barcodes!! They were fine in the end but that was a shock. Got to remember to ask for receipts for petrol etc now.
Well done everyone on your progress, and redeemsComping wishlist for 2017

Evening everyone
Can I ask for some advice. I have an item on e bay and someone has offered me good money for it if I put it on buy it now. It is on for £3.. nd they are offering £40. I have not had any bids but there are 6 watchers. What should I do? The prospective purchaser says she wants it as a gift on 20/01.
If no-one has made a bid for it, you can add a buy it now price, it will be in the watchers list and they will be able to see it as buy it now, u'dhave both the options either bid, or they can buy it now, I know it sounds horrible, is the item worth more than £40, just wouldn't want to see anyone on our threads diddled.
Check what the fees would be, as the buy it now that depends on the proce listed, then if its paypal going to be a bigger cut, and check the postage, - this sounds daft but at that price i would suggest recorded delievery, not 100% fool-proof but you get a signature, - check what the value limit is on that - think its the value of 1st class stamp x 100 (should be on Royal Mail site), just thinking you may need to add in the additional costs.
If you do decide you want to add in buy it now, to cover yurself message through ebay, and say the item has now got a buy it now offer, as they want the item by the 20th, then ideally (which covers you, as your making a request for payment you are mearly advising them that yiou want it pay for it by xx and this way your not asking for a payment or conducting anything outside ebay rules - yur merely advising a potential buyer that has asked you a question). the payment would need to be recieved by xx/xx/xx but please note that cheques ande crossed postal orders do take upto 7 days to clear (by saying that about cheques + crossed postal orders - yur not leaving yourself open to posting it before payment cleared as they want it for a present).
Thanking You
Joe Bloggs
Sorry its looks a bit long winded - but put some notes in as to why I've drafted it that way - to cover you.
You wouldn't be doing anything infair or improper by adding a buy it now, as it will still have the bidding option. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I may sound like I'm coming across as half empty glass girl, but theres been plenty of threads where someone has paid by paypal, done collection, then claimed by paypal that the item never arrived. If you go back and say cash only - then that goes against ebay rules and there is a possibility the seller could get narky and report you.
They may be 100% genuine, but theres always the bad apple. I would let it run, if there going away - say there more than welcome to bid, your hold the item to they return, but you will only post the items.
It would be a different kettle of fish if you had put in a paper, as you then know that it would a swop cash for goods, heres theres too much of a risk of you being out pocket. (sorry)xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
