Hi all,
Wondering if anyone here could help with an issue my finacee is having with her Hotmail account. Basically, she tried logging in the other night and found that her password wouldn't work, so tried to do a password reset using her secret question info. However, someone/something had changed the answer to her question and so it wont work. Furthermore, when she chose to send a reset link to her secondary email address, that had also been changed to ad*****@win7shop.net. (That's exactly what it is showing with the asterix as well). Needless to say, she has no idea what this email address is!
So now we've had to go through the windows live solution centre, submitted loads of information regarding her email account so they can verify it's her account and reset it for her but it's now been 3 days and we've heard nothing back. We can get in to the private forum using the PIN number that Microsoft supplied but there are no answers/resolutions being given!
Does anyone know how else we can contact Microsoft to try and sort the problem out? or what else we could try?
Any help would be gratefully received by a very stressed out pre christmas female shopper with lots of online shopping confirmation emails to read (and to give my ears a rest as well!!!)

last time I helped someone reclaim a hacked hotmail account it was back within 4 hours
it may be that there is not enough details to confirm that she is the owner of the accountEx forum ambassador

if i was her in the meantime priority one i would set up new email account and change the recorded email at the sites she is buying from. Whoever has taken control of her email address will see the confirmation emails comign through for shipped items and could change delivery addresses etc...
tbh that sounds bad, a pure no questiosn asked hacked primary email. I would fresh install as well for peace of mind, not good
hope microsoft get in touch with you asap,

Thanks for the replies. Regards the above quote though...
Shouldn't they at least message back and say they need more info? Im now having problems getting a reply as well. I logged on to WLSC with my account dertails and posted a question about it last night, but still I dont have a reply.
Also, I now cant get in to my Hotmail as it keeps saying that the server is undergoing maintanence and shouldnt take more than an hour. This has been going on for 8 hours now though! What the heck is up with Microsoft at the moment!!! :mad:0
