The Infamous VOIP Stutter... Help!!

Hi there

A call for help... I have an 'up to 8MB' connection with IDNet which is actually pretty reliable at about 2MB download and about 360K Upload.

Now, 360 upload should be plenty enough to get a decent call clarity, but it's not - or, at least, not good enough. I have a Linksys Router and a SNOM 320 Business SIP Phone - so again, it should be good.

What might be causing a problem is that I use Vonage on the same line and, though they rarely have calls going on at the same time, I wonder whether the Vonage being on standby may be causing the problem.

So I guess the questions are:
1. Is Vonage my problem, or a red herring?
2. Is there any way of identifying whether the problem is with my BB, Hardware or the service provider?
3. Are there any suggestions for improving performance?

Thanks, in advance!
