Left parcel in Brown bin!

Why? Why would someone put a parcel that needs to be signed for in a bin, days before xmas on the same day the bins are collected?

This was the question I manager of our local delivery office this afternoon after I got home to find a slip to say that a parcel was "in brown bin" and that said brown bin had been emptied by the bin men.

His responce was that I may have lived far away from the office and might not have been able to make it to collect before xmas. I live two streets away. But even if that was the case what normal person thinks "I know, I will leave this parcel in that there bin"

Grrrr grumble grumble grumble
