Christmas Day Birthday.

It is my birthday on the 25th too. I am originally from Holland where christmas is not very big, so the day was all about my birthday. (we celibrate a holiday on the fifth of december which is quite similar) However I hated it as a child. My brother was a month before me and everyone stayed for the evening and for many hours, whilst they would come to mine, (only 2 couples though) they would be there at 10am in the morning and leave at 12. On top of that I had my cousins tell me they got a playstation for christmas that morning, whilst I had some cheaper presents. If they would have just shut up about their presents for the day, I would have probably be ok.

Now, in England it is different. My family definitly won't come over. (not even parents) So in the morning we have some time alone and I unwrap some birthday presents, than in the afternoon we visit oh's family and we celibrate christmas.

I don't mind it as much in the last few years. It is an annoying birthday, cause going out can cause quite a bit of trouble. People want to save money for christmas if you celibrate it early december, or have no money left in january if you celibrate it in january. This year we went out for a meal with friends early december, but had a lot of people who didn't want to come. But it isn't to bad.
