going from a ''step account to a current account

Hello,
I have had a step account with natwest since my bankruptsy 6 years ago,i now would like to upgrade.
The bankruptsy and discharge isnt showing now on my credit file but im nervous about applying and getting turned down.
Does anyone think i have a chance of upgrading?

    Thanks for your reply jen...just that there hasn't been any searches on my account for 6 years so if i applied and got turned down it would show so i'm abit nervous that's all...

    Its only one search, do don't worry. Maybe if you go into your branch and do it there, they might be able to upgrade you without running a search based on your account conduct, so there really is no harm in trying. Good luck!
