Viking-Direct pretend to deliver but don't

Never used Viking before, but got a flyer, pretty cheap, so ordered a fair bit, delivery scheduled, but no delivery, said they tried but nobody in, untrue, someone was waiting for them, don't worry we'll have another go the next day, same nonsense, waited all day only to be told nobody was in, same old lies from the Viking delivery dept.

One last chance apparantly, what are the chances of them actually delivering?

Will I get a refund?

Was it because I ordered all the special offers and they didn't want to go through with the order?

Are they a proper company?

'Are they a proper company?' :rotfl:

Yes - have ordered from them for years and never had a problem greater than out of stock (for wich a refund was promptly given).

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but have you checked the delivery address is correct?

Viking Direct are a fairly large and popular business stationery company. When I've used them they've delivered next day and were reliable for me.

*Note: With my username I have no association with Viking Direct. :D

Used them to buy two PC chairs years ago. Seemed OK back then.

I can't fault their delivery promises. They turn up as promised.

Their ordering systems are a wee bit antiquated though!!

I've used Viking since the 1980s when it was privately-owned - the catalogue always had pics of the owner popping up in it (Helford, I think his name was). They are now owned by a large American outfit called Office Depot. Delivery is usually spot-on.
