  • St.Helens is approx 30 mins car travel, via A580 or the M62, Newton le Willows 6 or 7 mins longer, Warrington could be tricky in the rush hour; plenty of property available in your price range; suggest you google "estate agents in St.Helens " or https://www.daviddavies.co.uk.
    Welcome to the North West.
  • Use the postcode WA5 for Warrington (covers Chapelford and Westbrook, close to Ikea/M&S and the M62). I live in WA5, in Old Hall, and I like this area. Good Secondary Schools are Great Sankey High here, and Bridgewater and Lymm over near the M6 - but they are in pricey areas and very busy when there is trouble on the M6 or M56 or M62!)
  • best area is prob winnick.
    lymm is also decent

I live in Lowton - WA3. We're exactly half way between Manc and Liverpool (just off east lancs road) and about 5 mins drive to M6. There's some nice 4 bedroom houses and prices are a little bit cheaper than say Winwick or Lymm x

Warrington south of the Manchester ship canal is the best area but also the most expensive!
  • I live in Newton-Le-Willows WA12 8s. My house is in a quite location, bottom of Wargrave Road close to the Vulcan Village. I chose this location because my work was throughout the Northwest. It takes 5 minutes to get to M62 at Winwick, then 25 minutes to Liverpool or Manchester.
There are new housed being built - looks as though showhouse should be ready in January ( Newlands Grange)

Warrington is a good choice. If you are commuting to Liverpool daily you would be advised to choose areas on the west side, Westbrook, Old Hall and Great Sankey are all decent areas and have very good access to the M62. Schools here are also good.
