Hi guys and gals
I hope someone can offer some advice and maybe help out. My brother and his lovely girlfriend have just got engaged and intend to get married August 2007 in Rome hopefully the week beginning 6th. We're now looking to find somewhere to stay which is proving nigh on impossible for 15 of us. We would like to try keep the families together as much as possible and have heard of old monastries and things that you can stay in but I cant find anything online. We have looked into a villa but the most reasonable and nicest one is 1 & 1/2 hrs drive from Rome, which isnt suitable as we would like to experience the city while there. Oh and driving in our wedding outfits for too long in August heat will not be enjoyable haha.
Basically theres 14 adults although 3 of them are elderly which we do need to consider and I have a daughter who will be nearing 4 yrs in August 07, so anybody that can help or advise your info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Cath

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W
Hope that helps0 -
This is tough!
I have found this but the practicalities over sleeping may prove difficult.

i recommend ringing someone like hotelopia as they have a number of properties in rome but only go up to 5 bedrooms on line- they have been known to do you a deal
here are two adjacent apartments

This place looks good, has enough rooms and all on ground floor, should be able to get bulk discount if you ask..

Maybe a bit late but am searching on Rome myself - we have a party of 11 going (we hope) in April. There are various websites which have apartments rather than hotels which are likely to work out cheaper.
Try
http://www.rentalinrome.com
(not the easiest website to find things on but look for eg Costaguti and Julia)

Hope this helps.0
