  • A supplier with an ethical stance and a committment low carbon electricity. Guessing they won't be topping the best buy tables!

On the whole a welcome development though. Consumers are cryig out for a better alternative in this area almost as much as they are in banking IMO.

£5 per month standing charge for everyone and decent tier 2 prices - far more sensible model than Ebico. Good luck to them but I hope they are not swamped by 'bad' clients - they have to be fair and firm and ensure costly clients are charged appropriately and not subbed by others.
  • I too wish them all the best. I wonder if they will get John Hannah to do the voice overs on the TV ads...

Your expected annual usage is 5,300 kWhs which will cost £462.83 per year from Co-operative Energy
We are only £203.33 more per year than your current supplier
We might cost a little more than your current supplier, but look at all the other reasons for joining Co-operative Energy.

OK...I'll pass...Only 80% more expensive but they do say there other reasons to join.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

  • John David Hannah (born 23 April 1962) is a Scottish actor of film and television. He has appeared in Stephen Sommers' Mummy Series, Richard Curtis' Four Weddings and a Funeral and Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow. He is currently the voice of The Co-operative Group adverts in the UK.

  • They came out £53 dearer for me. Definately one to keep my eye on for when Online S@ver 7 ends at the end of next year.

Another one that doesn't accept my postcode. What is the matter with them? They can't recognise WC1X I suppose.
  • £123 more than current supplier for me (I'm with EDF Saver 7 and haven't included the £100 welcome bonus nor have i included the £100 Co-op bonus, either). Better than I thought it would be, TBH. Having said that, with the standing charge and one tier pricing I'm suspecting they will be more competitive for the high user?

Rather than it being attractive to the high user, I'd say it was unattractive to the low user. But seeing as the unit price is high, it's not attractive to anyone!
