Can't comment on second (roofing) quote, but this summer I had pretty much the same as you've specified in your first quote done regarding soffits, fascias, guttering etc. I live in a 2 bed detached. I paid £2250, and this was the best of 3 quotes, so £2550 for a 4 bed detached sounds quite reasonable to me. I live in South Cheshire.

Not to bad of a price, sheet lead approx £100, sand and cement, replacement of any broken tiles/slates, scaffold??
Make sure they bend the lead at the edges, to stop capillary travel of water.

hi scaffold has been mentioned at £600 to do the job across a week

Hi Fraser yes quote seems average, try and get them to use the new style over fascia ventilators instaed of a vented soffit. Vented soffits get very dirty in years to come and need cleaning.
