Cost of Cheap?? Flights

Just booked a flight with BMIBaby for £12.08 return, total cost when the booking was completed came to £70.00..... I thought this practice was being outlawed/stopped ???:mad:

We booked two separate flights yesterday with Jet2. Just for one passenger each time. The cost of each leg of the trip was only 99p. No hold luggage and on-line check-in. The total cost of each flight was still over £60 by the time we got to the end of the process. I am not moaning though as it is still extremely good value.

My husband's job is based overseas so we always try to book as far in advance as we can to get the best prices. We have got him booked until June now.

I knew before I opened this post it would be a first time poster, odd that.

All of the fees and charges are there for everyone to see, and all flights are priced "from £xxx" all consumers have a choice as you get a break down before you commit to buy if you dont like it go to another airline, who will do exactly the same
