I've got a mate who's travelling to EVERY COUNTRY on Earth by surface only - that's no flying - and on PUBLIC TRANSPORT ONLY!
He's travelling ON THE CHEAP and since 1st Jan 2009, he has stepped foot in 183 of the 200 countries. He's also set the first Guinness World Record for 133 countries visited in one year (2009).
If you REALLY want to travel on the cheap, watch his latest video on for his TOP 20 Tips for TRAVELLING ON THE CHEAP. The video is on YouTube and is at youtube.com/watch?v=tAbCgr6jJ_0
It's an AMAZING story, and it's not over yet!
Now THAT'S what I call saving money!

The top 20 tips for travelling in style on the cheap and the guy packs a sleeping bag!!! Travelling in style does not by any stretch of the imagination require one to pack a sleeping bag.
I got as far as the tip for women to visit cosmetics counters to have their make up touched up for free and I gave up.
The make up tip aside, the guy has simply rehashed tried and tested advice that has been around since the dawn of time. The MSE Dictionary
