Blackberry and Macs

Hi Guys,
Could really do with some advice. I've tried the Blackberry support forums and Crackberry but noones replied.
I bought a Curve 3G a couple of days ago, I went to install the Desktop Manager from the CD which went fine.
I powered up the Desktop Manager, it recognised my phone and I was able to do a backup.
I then went to click Applications to do an update when it threw up an error that I am not using the latest version of the Desktop Manager and should update it first.
I went to the Blackberry website to make sure I was using the most uptodate version, which is v2.0.0.64 but still getting the same error.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.4 by the way
Any ideas?
Mac support for Blackberrys seems pretty naff!!
Thanks
Shaun

usually the 'sync' software is pretty rubbish anyway, if you are looking to sync contacts and calendar then you could use something like google sync0

Hi Jayme,
Not too bothered about Synching contacts, calenders and other stuff like that to be honest it's more to do with adding files onto the phone.
I've not got a memory card yet so not sure if it will appear as a drive on my mac or it will force me to use the Device Manager to add things onto it.
I've tried the bluetooth option, it pairs then doesn't want to transfer any files, I don't think it likes Macs much
