  • Currently got some soup in the garage as the fridge is full and have also used to chill some pastry that need to chill before it went in the oven. It was already cut into shapes on trays (and only needed 10 minutes). Also keeping all our drinks there too.

  • OH picked up our meat order this afternoon. I've put it (a massive chicken, a joint of beef, a joint of gammon, bacon, chipolatas, mince, sausagemeat) all in our massive cold box with a few elements and locked it in the shed. Outside temp isn't above freezing, or forecasted to be, so its probably colder than my fridge!

Be sensible though, use your nose to check everything is still fresh before you cook it.

  • Given that a domestic fridge operates at temperatures of 0c to 5c, it's colder outside at the moment. Half my Christmas is outside the back door.

What would you class as an animal proof container. I have a fear of rats & they can chew through metal, DH thinks I'm paranoid.

But what do you all use as containers in your sheds & gardens?
