  • I'm looking at it the only way - what are BG's enforcement options? If that's also court then clearly that's bad for the company but it still doesn't change the facts. If they can only afford £500 per month then I fail to see why the court would order anything different.

How dod these bills compare to that of those from your previous premises?? Surely your accountant would have picked up such a vast difference year to year??

In any case you have used the £26k's worth of gas so the bill needs paying, will BG reach a settlement with you to pay it off over time? However I didn't notice the status of your company (Ltd?) and with such a large debt should you be looking at administration? I would seek your accountants advice as there could well be options to help you out.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

This is for electric only? What is your turnover? If you are going to go under then ensure that BG get nothing. The misleading estimated thing has been a nonsense for many years. Can be easily solved by the supplier printing "ESTIMATED" in BIG RED CAPITALS as a watermark on docs.

They should accept £500 a month, but with ltd company dont be suprised if they dont request a copy of your last company house filing. The ombudsman for business adopts a different process, but with any ltd company you must check the bills and Im shocked your accountant didnt pick it up.
