For the applications that you are looking at, I wouldn't worry too much about the reduction in memory. If it does become an issue you can upgrade the RAM. Looking at the specs of the laptop, it has two memory slots with 512Mb in each so you'd have to "throw" one of those away to upgrade the memory.- = I also recognise the Robins and beep for them = -0 -

The HP NX6325 is 399...
Oh, and I'd avoid acernotebooks.co.uk like the plague - they are the same company as laptopsdirect.co.uk and let's say, not the most reputable of companies.0 -
I just bought a laptop from laptopsdirect/acernotebacks.
Ordered on Friday, delivered on Monday. They even pricematched a competitior for me, giving me about £20 off.
If i have any problems with the laptop it is covered by Acer's 1 year warranty. Don't see the problem myself.0 -

I ordered my laptop via the phone to take avantage of their cheap memory upgrade, as it was advertised. Turned out that it wasnt cheap. I delclined this offer.
I asked for the 9.95 delivery, they sent it the 14.95 delivery.
The laptop arrived with the memory I didnt want fitted and charged for - I was charged a total of nearly £70 in excess to the advertised price.
Had to send laptop back, after 2 weeks of 'returns procedure' nonsense.
Was told 10 days after receipt of return, they had no stock...
Asked for refund, they did, but didn't refund the postage costs of over £17 (inc VAT)
Matter is now with trading standards.
Search for consumer reviews of their service, ignoring the one they happily link to on their website, and you will find many opinions that correlate with mine.
A disgrace of a company.:mad:0 -
We have directed lots of customers to acernotebooks and we have had nothing but good feedback, which is why we continue to recommend them.
