Single holiday with toddler

Hi there MSEers!!

I am looking for advice on holidaying alone with my two year old son.

I have just split up with my husband and would like to just get away for a week in the sun in late Jan/ early Feb where I can relax with my little boy and focus on the two of us for a bit.

I would like somewhere he can play on the beach or a good holiday complex with plenty to keep him occupied, where we can enjoy nice food together and ideally where I can relax on a balcony in the evenings with a book and a glass of wine whilst he sleeps!

I have some savings set aside so am not too worried about the cost - I just feel the need to be good to myself for a week!!!!

Any suggestions?!

Tenerife would be a good choice IMO, Warm during the day {low to mid 20's} Take a look around Playa de las Americas {or Los Christianos}. 4.5 hours from the UK, 20 mins transfer from the airport and plenty of hotels to choose from.

strongly recommend it, not cheap, but VERY good indeed. Staff are all brilliant, kids clubs, swimming pools for kids...v v family driven.
