£650 Installation of a positive pressure unit: "remcon"

Hi MSEs,
I have a high humidity and damp problem in my 3 bedroom end of terrace house (1930s build).
The engineer suggested a "positive pressure unit" at a cost of £650 + VAT (Remcon brand) for labour and unit.
Is this a fair quote (London, SE4)
On another note, has anyone a "positive pressure condensation" in their home? If yes, does it work? What are noise levels?
Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks,
Jeremy
