yep good value for this year,

just very likely that they will not give you the discounted price for next year so you will be tied into a £45 a year back up service if you wish to keep your files backed up, which at current prices and sizes would buy you a 1tb external hard drive ever year, and for those files that you just have to access anywhere you can use such as the SkyDrive service with Hotmail which gives you 25gb of storage space for free (although they do have a file size limitation of 50mb at the moment)
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

External hard drives are good for easy access to files and quick backup speeds, but they don't offer any protection against theft or fire/flood at your home.

I use Mozy for online backup. The US one costs $100 for 2 years. Backups happen in the background but you need to check your data allowance from your ISP as this can use up a lot of data.

Unlimited is a very big number, so offering it for a tenner is awesome.

Factors to bear in mind besides the second year costs...
Bandwidth/data use - the initial upload is likely to be a HUGE data hit, your ISP may throttle your usage if you go over your package
Versioning - the concise spec above doesn't mention versioning so maybe they offer it, maybe not. However if you need your backup because you messed up an important file, versioning will get you out of trouble whilst if the backup is only the latest version, you're lost.
Privacy - usually pretty decent on these things, but your personal data is still all going over the wire to live who-knows-where? So do make sure you encrypt your stuff
Clouds are not born equal - there is no such thing as "the cloud", there are lots of competing networks. How many instances does the service maintain of your backup? Are they based in sensi ble locations? As an example, the AWS S3 cloud storage (not a consumer tool, but many consumer tools are built upon it) will store 3 copies of each file separately, in at least 2 separate locations. With Cloudfront you may even have 17 cached copies too.

At the price, this is great for a year, but is certainly not perfect for all cases. Also consider SugarSync which does offer versioning and is free upto 5 or so GB (which will cover your most critical files with space to spare), and also will replicate them across 3 of your own computers (so you can have identical files at work, home and on the laptop, it manages keeping sync and versions. Oh, and on your phone too. We use this to manage the books for some major bands with one guy on the road, me on a PC and the boss on his home office Mac, works very well indeed!
