Can someone please help?
My colleague is travelling to Germany between 16th and 21st January but their passport expires on 20th March. I was under the impression it had to be valid for 3 whole months but they seem unsure.
Going to try and ring passport office later but was hoping one of you lovely lot could answer it sooner for me
Thanks (and merry christmas)

If it is a British/EU passport then it just has to be valid when he travels.
3 months is probably for (some) non-Eu passports if it applies at all0 -
TY for that
Do you by any chance have the link for the data so I can provide it to him?
Thanks

Most travel agents will normally tell you to have 6 months on your passport basically just to make sure you check that the passport is in date, even though there are very few countries in our region that require it.I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0

I did google it before asking on here and found contradictory answers. I saw the above, but then saw one that said 3 months / 6 months
So trying to find out which is right

Ok then to corroborate my post this is up to date info that airlines and agents would use to check visa requirements.
