That's why I don't follow the point about it not affecting thier profitability...Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

It's an unlikely event, because they eventually recover any losses via PP meters or court action.
The assertion was that payments were being set low deliberately. Theoretically there is a risk of default further down the line which would affect profitablity negatively if it occurred.
So it's hardly a good strategy for them.
As is apparent they have a computer glitch which is causing the problem.0 -
I sometimes feel sorry for our suppliers! They are criticised when their dds are set too high, then when they're set too low, yet it is impossible for them to set at a level which exactly matches the cost!.
To my mind, the op is in a fortunate position. He is getting the dd discount without the full downside of the deal. Surely this is a non-problem isn't it? Just see what you paid last year in total, add 15%, divide by 12, knock off the dd payments and save the difference each month ready to pay the bill when it finally comes, and have an extra amount available if a bill arrives during/just after the winter months (to cover the higher winter month usage).
btw - the suppliers are probably setting the dd low because they've probably indirectly been told to by the regulator due to complaints about suppliers setting the dd too high in the past! Businesswise, it's in suppliers' interests to set the dd as high as they can get away with.0
