in Credit cards
Hi guys,
i was in topman last friday buying some clothes and i was offered a discount if i took out a store card. so stupidly i agreed. upon seeing the interest charges etc i instantly wanted to cancel my card.
So on monday i rang up asking to cancel my card. After giving my details i was told that my card had been cancelled. I further asked whether i owed anything. i was told that i didnt owe anything. i found this strange, as my balance was also £0.
So im just wondering how do i pay off what ive brought.? I mean i cant have got them items for free could i?
Btw i am really clueless when it comes to these credit card things, so if someone can enlighten me on this id appreciate it.

Most cards come with an interest free period.
You get a bill through the post, pay the balance in full using the methods outlined on the statement, and that's the end of it.
If you don't clear it in full that's when the high interest charges come in.
The transaction will usually come through on the next bank working day.I further asked whether i owed anything. i was told that i didnt owe anything.0
