Curly hair problems.

Another curly girl here:) my rules for looking after my hair are
No brushing ever
CO wash (this is washing with conditioner only, slap loads and loads of conditioner on wet hair, leave for at least 5 mins, comb through with a wide tooth comb or fingers and rinse rinse rinse, sounds odd but is great for gentle cleansing because the conditioner has a small amount of cleanser in it) I do this for a couple of weeks each month.
Pat hair dry, never rub, preferably with a microfibre towel.
Mix a small amount of hair gel, the really cheap stuff is best as it has no or little drying alcohol in it with a serum or smoothing creme and gently scrunch into ends.
Don't use heat, this is really important, just dry naturally, putting it into a plait or in my case a top knot really helps to maintain the curl and stop frizz.
I would keep your daughters hair tied well back at school, whatever you do the last thing you want is nits, I know I've been there when my dd was young it was the nightmare from hell and she has dead straight hair.
Love the pic:Dban straighteners from your house;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
