Refunds via Visa Debit Cards

I recently received a refund for something I purchased on my visa debit card, it was refunded via the same payment method and I was just wondering how long it should typically take to go back into my current account as cleared funds?

It only takes a couple of days from making the refund to receiving it. But - actually making the refund at the other end normally involves checks / authorisations before it gets into the system. And that often takes a few extra days.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

I got a refund on my debit card a few weeks ago. If i remember correctly the money was back in my account in a few days , so , made the return on Monday , money back in account on Wednesday.The loopy one has gone :j0

As Mikeyorks says it should only take a couple of days, if there is a delay, it'll be at the company issuing the refund. People take longer to issue refunds than to take money initially.0
