Stop passing the buck! Stop sitting back and claiming it's always someone else's fault/responsibility.
If we each (individuals, firms, government, international bodies) did something we will all reap the benefits.
Nobody has to make big sacrifices to make a difference, but by God we will in the future if we do nothing (or leave it to someone else to sort out).
It's not about being a tree hugger! I like my life and my luxuries (and wearing sandals and being out in the cold hugging trees is not part of that), and I am not willing to give them up - and in order to maintain my standard of living, I am making SMALL, sensible choices now (that by the way save me money in the long run) to save having to make hard choices in the future.
Green taxes are not about raising revenue for the government, it's about changing consumer/business behaviour - and if they work (i.e if we buy/consume/produce less of these products) then they will raise less revenue.
Nobody is perfect in this debate - change is required at all levels.0 -

Remember the MoneySaving mantras!
IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?0
