Triton mixer shower problems: help!

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to help on this one. I've recently moved into a house which has a triton mixer shower and a Worcester 28cdi combi boiler. The shower works fine for the first few minutes, just long enough to wash hair and self but then slows to a trickle, just after I've put the conditioner on!
The water flow is literally little more than a fast drip and it's impossible to finish showering.
Any suggestions please or am I really going to have to buy a new mixer valve?
