Can anone help - re Theatre Tickets

I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me where I stand regarding a theatre ticket I bought last Friday (on line) to see Cinderella at the Sadler Wells Theatre in London for the next day - Saturday. Unfortunatley due to all the snow and travel problems, I was unable to get there. I telephoned them to explain situation and they said I had no right to a refund of my £50 ticket as all the staff and actors had managed to get there.

Is this right.

I live in Hertfordshire

I suspect as they didn't cancel, they upheld their part of the bargain putting on a show, and the fact you live in Hertfordshire as opposed to central London is rather more your problem than theirs.

You could ask them really nicely if they would allow you to swap for another date if they have availability? They are under no obligation to do so, but if you're nice about it you may get a goodwill gesture.

OP, do you have any insurance that may cover you?
