    I would take them back, get him something better and tell him the story after Christmas


    I deffo woudln't give him the socks instead - that would look weird you gifting all that to his dad and only giving him socks!!:rotfl:

    Thanks everyone for all your suggestions, I have just been out and bought him some of his favourite aftershave and a gift voucher so he can go and buy himself some trainers he keeps going on about. I couldn't return the toothbruth or clippers as I got them in a sale so once bought I couldn't return them.

    His mother is a very strong woman and I don't want us to fall out at this time of year so I will speak to my bf after christmas day as it is him I am blaming for the gift error as he should not have basically asked us both for the same things. Anyway his birthday is in January and I will give him something his mother cannot. A photo of me smiling, tee hee
