problems with Tiscali

I'm posting this to save others the hassle I've had. I signed up to an online offer sent to me by e-mail for smart talk - £9.99 a month for UK calls anytime, third month's payment free and a £10 phone card. Got the first bill and did nothing as I'd given CC details. Then reminders followed, plus a phone call from their a/cs, I gave a CC number then she admitted they already had my details. They have taken all three months charges, even after I cancelled the account by e-mail to the address on the front of the bill on 26 Jan. The only response was that they don't act on e-mails, you can only call on 0870 (i've tried every alternative)! Sainsburys bank ahve been totally unhelpful in stopping the overcharges as well. So it's back to Equitalk, at least they didn't say 'I told you so'......
