New Network Card

The network adaptor has packed up in an old laptop. The laptop is pretty old so I decided I would try and replace the network card myself. I have bought a new network card, which has the right PCI fitting, but my old card has two wires plugged into the top of the card, whereas on the new one there are three connections. Will the network card work in my laptop, and if so which 2 of the three plugs do I use?
(They are labelled TR1,2 & 3).
I thought the PCI bit was the important bit, no-one mentione wires:o.
I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

check the make/model of card, and look up it's properties on t'internet - the two wires going to it are the Main and Aux aerial wires - they'll need to go to the correct terminals on the wifi card :)

Just to add, it doesn't matter if you get the main and aux mixed up - they're identical antennas.

    Thanks for your answers guys.
While searching around the internet, I have found that in the past, people have had issues with compatability with HP laptops. Something to do with BIOS. Is this true or are they trying to scare me?
