  • "assuming you are paying a BT fee of around 3% how do you make any worthwhile money on the stoozing? "

Just for info my fixed investment is 1% per week return on telecoms.

Thanks again for comments, I will give retentions a shot and speak very nicely.

While the OP paid late and is suffering from it, ask your friends who have Virgin/MBNA cards and see how Virgin/MBNA are making money by mysteriously being unable to process payments in good time. I will never use them again.

It is possible to get a return of quite a bit more than 3% with completely secure investments. If the OP has invested in fixed interest bonds, then I suspect they would have made a profit if they hadn't made this mistake.

interested to know which pay that much

1% per week fantastic; would you like to share how you do that?

Well the rates seem to be changing all the time, and at present for a 1 year investment 3% seems to be the norm, but I have a series of bonds with rates varying from 3.2% to 5% some of which are Cash ISAs. Naturally carefull planning is required to ensure that you are not left with a stoozing liability that cannot be settled before a bond reaches maturity.

Then there are monthly savers such as these:

  • Not sure if you are allowed to make recommendations on this forum, but if you Google EMS Financial Svs based in the UK, you can see the range of unusual investments that they have.

So far they have paid me 1% per week into an Escrow.
Have made an on line withdrawal of profits to pay off Virgin and shut down the CC.

Clearly you must do any necessary due diligence on any offering.
