Sky+ Replacement - Advice wanted

Thanks for all this.
It looks like a choice between the Humax
or
getting a deal off Sky then when it expires just take out a Sky+ only subscription (£10/month) that way you get Sky+ with the free-to-air channels.

Either way i'm saving a significant amount of money.

So i think i'll give SKY a call and see what they can do for me first.

We downgraded over 2 years back after having Sky + with all the movies at about £ 35/month at the time.

Since then we just pay £10 per month to use the sky + function.
We did this as we worked out we watched free channels 99% of the time but didnt want to give up on the Sky + function (which is brilliant, havent watched adverts for 2 years...)

All the epg works the same as before and we get BBC 1,2,3,4. ITV 1,2,3,4. CH4, CH5, Film 4, Sky3, Cbeebies etc.

Just ring them up and get them to do this.

Can you confirm that you just pay £10 pm for just SKY+ i.e. you have no sky viewing package??? If this is so, how did you do it???
