Really do some research on Washer Dryers, I have never yet come across anyone that is happy with a washer dryer and most opt for separates. When I had mine the stuff took forever to dry and felt damp for a long while. Also if you have separates you can dry one load while washing a second. You don't need to get a big dryer just a small one that can live in a tiny space and preferably vent to outside.
Check the big electrical shops and keep your eye open for offers on washer, dryers and fridges, might be an idea to go for a fridge freezer, try to get the best rating you can to use less electricity.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
As we are moving into 2 bed flat i will not have space for seperate washer dryer, i will use it just in winter time as during summer i will dry clothes in a garden.
ohhh hate decisions0 -
I have a standard washing machine and a heated dryer like this one:http://www.lakeland.co.uk/lakeland-dry-soon-heated-airer/F/keyword/heated+dryer/product/21736 (you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere). It doesn't cost a lot to run, folds away when you don't need it, and dries a pair of jeans in a day. Depending on the amount of stuff you will need to dry, and how often, I'd recommend you consider this instead of a combined washer dryer - which in my view is inherently more unreliable.
As for brands, how long do you want it to last? You say £800 is your budget so that gives you quite a bit of scope - particularly if you don't want a fridge freezer rather than a fridge. I'd suggest Hotpoint, Bosch, Indesit - but others will have different views.0 -
I have an Indesit washer dryer and my only complaint is that the shortest 'wash only' program takes 70 minutes. There is a 35 minute quick wash but it includes a hot tumble so not suitable for "do not tumble dry" items. So make sure you check out the program options before making your decision.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
