    I've been Money Tipped!
A gift voucher seems the perfect solution to me.

I always get our postie a bottle of wine, though haven't seen him for a few weeks - must be poorly.

I agree. Maybe with a note along the lines of 'have a drink on me, but choose your bottle another day so you don't have to carry it home'

Having said that, my postie brings several bags of letters in the car and walks each bag round individually. In these circumstances popping the pressie in the car would be easy enough

I give my postie a pot of gold for christmas and it's always well recieved. Here's a link of how to put it together. I put it in a little gold favour bag which i bought from a wedding shop on ebay.

Gave mine a card and £5 cheque today (not been out to get cash) - whatever it is its the thought that counts.

  • I would get my postie an alarm clock and road map, plus remind him that my post should be daily.....this is not the case even before the snow.
  • My husbands a postie, there an old lady who used to knit him fingerless gloves that he he loved. Its hard to sort through the mail with normal gloves on, so he tells me lol.

  • thanks guys i like the idea of a gift voucher and the fingerless gloves ive noticed my postie wears them lol
  • They are allowed to receive gifts, and unless things have changed they are taxed asthough they have received tips (unless they can prove they have not).
