Primus 7.99 - when does deal expire

Looking at transferring phone line from BT( ) to Primus via Home Phone Choices to take advantage of special deal of £7.99 which is cheaper than going direct to Primus as far as I can see. Any one know when this "limited" offer of £7.99 ends please? In contract with BT till 24 Jan.

I've had problems switching to Primus. First it was supposed to happen on 20 Dec; and, after telling me the change had taken place, they now say it was 24 Dec. My existing supplier is still not aware of any change and continues to bill me for line rental and calls. At this rate I can see Primus trying to bill me for a service it is not providing. So far I have spent MORE money trying to sort it all out, with no success.
  • Thanks - hope once your switch takes place there will be no more problems - really what can go wrong with just a landline that is maintained by BT anyway? That's my philosophy anyway, or am I living in la la land? I'll contact them in a week or so to switch. Forewarned is forearmed I guess.

I think that you are living in " la la land ".
  • Ok, so I like it in la la land! Seriously though folks, has anyone got anything good to say about Primus? There must be someone who doesn't have a horror story

Yes! The best thing since sliced bread!

OTOH, I've been with them a long time as a CPS customer and am one of the decreasing number who are still on the wonderful Penny Mobile 2 CPS package with its 20p flat rate for up to 20 minutes to call/divert to any UK mobile.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
