Virgin Surcharge email - legit?

Just got this email out of the blue, looks amazingly like a scam email - except reading on here there is a surcharge issue, and also we flew with Virgin 3 times in the time period specified, seems too accurate for a scam.

Does anyone know if this is legitimate - and what action should I take, and is it safe to do so?

Thanks
Matt
