Jual Domestics Virus Warning!

Jual domestics servers have been hit by a virus which has sent the confidential e-mail addresses of thousands of customers out across the internet.

The e-mails sent from dual domestics also contain a hidden virus attachment that will infect the local machine where it is opened and it is understood that three such e-mails have been sent out.

I have contacted Jual this morning and questioned them as to why the private e-mail addresses of thousands of customers have been compromised and that they as data controllers have a legal responsibility to protect such data.

The reply was that they thought they had sufficient antivirus protection on their servers however they have now found that the antivirus installed does not check outgoing mail.

If you received an e-mail from Jual on the 20th December 2010 please DO NOT OPEN IT.
The infected server has now been disconnected.

No links just three e-mails from Jual in my inbox with infected files.

The worst part for me is that my e-mail address and that of thousands of other former customers is clearly visible on the e-mail from Jual which is the perfect spammers Christmas present and who knows what else it can be usued for in the wrong hands.:mad:

Not only have Jual Domestics breached their duty under the data protection act, all data they have on their systems is likely to have been accessed by this virus and now likely in the hands of fraudsters. Since this happened I have had an increase of fraud attempts using my email which was disclosed but also my mobile. What other information did they hold, Credit card details?, credit card security questions....My details have been seriously compromised by this company. A company that I never even bought goods from because they took the order but couldn't deliver. There needs to be legal recourse for this breach of trust and breach of data protection. They seem to be taking the policy of ignoring the problem and hoping the problem will dissapear. I want to know what details they held on me and should my data now be in third party hands what recourse is available to me. Anyone know?

How much fraud did you have before?this company has had plenty of bad press,somehow this thread doesn't ring true
