We don't spend much as there are only 2 of us, we have no parents, children or siblings. For those of you with big families, would gladly swap and spend the money. Also, being diabetic, don't have any Xmas cake, puds or chocs (but I do a mean low carb choc mousse)

Family of 6 (1 adult, 5 kids) and clicked the £801-£1000. I know (due to spreadsheets!) that I have spent £650 on presents (all kids, step-D, my parents, grandparent etc), £50 on a new tree, decorations, kids Christmas crafty stuff and £130 on food/wine/extras on top of the usual £70wk for groceries (this £130 is 3 weeks worth of extras).
So £830 in total. All paid for in advance with savings over the year and no debt accrued at all; which I am more proud of rather than the low(ish) spend.
Although the POLL is a little skew - not many families are like mine with lots of kids. Instead of a total spend perhaps it should be a per head spend? As I would fall into the catagory of spending a lot in total, but per person I haven't.0 -
I need an option saying "We don't celebrate ... but it STILL cost us £400". Presents for nieces and nephews and children of close friends, wrapping, postage, travel, food & drink, work xmas meals/drinks etc. It's inescapable.0
