One of my relatives is looking for a new car and has checked various online brokers and has got a very reasonable quote. Has anybody purchased new car from the following, and give advise.
The broker is ukcarbroker_co_uk/

I've used ukcarbroker and dealt with Kevin. Seemed very reasonable chap though very busy as I guess they are running a small outfit.Once a price is settled on they pass you on to the main dealer and thereafter you deal with them.
Was very smooth and much better than my local dealer!! I'd reckon its worth the extra hassle if you're willing to do a bit of driving -what car are you looking to get..MS2U0 -
Check that you can inspect the car before handing your money over. Some brokers want you to pay them in full a week (or more) before delivery. The best ones essentially don't touch your money - the contract is between you and the dealer, and the dealer pays the broker's commission.
Also check that you get the V5 (log book) at the same time as the car. Some hold onto the log books for 6 months - you end up as the second owner and its hard to insure the car0 -
Thanks for your replies.
My relative has been advised that he will be the 2nd registered owner, but the car will be brand new and it will be a factory order. He doesn't mind he will be 2nd owner. The car will require a deposit and the final payment will be when he goes to pick up the car, he can check the car at that time.
He just want to know when he goes to pick the car what documents he should receive to say that car belongs to him. If he gets the V5 (log book) at the same time as the car does the car belong to him.0 -
I assume he has quoted the online price to the dealer..........he might match it (mine Did)
PS you never get the Docs with a new car, this come from DVLA.0 -

No it will not, it will " unused " but it will still be second hand, he will be the second recorded owner.
Some " dodgy " dealers are now holding on to the registration docs for 6 months.0 -

No the V5 does not prove ownership, only the registered keeper. There is no ownership document for a car. The receipt he gets from the dealer is what proves he has paid for the car and that it is his.0
